Viewing your photos
You can view your shots in the little screen at the back of the camera, of course, but that will not make them justice.
How to view photos
You want to see them with a bigger screen than the one your camera has so as to see the fine detail. You can either plug the memory card into a slot in your laptop or link the camera up to a PC – or MAC – and download the photos to view them on the computer monitor. How good they look will depend on the monitor resolution.
Want a better picture? If you have downloaded the photos to your computer hard drive, you can transfer them to a DVD and you will be able to see them on your TV screen through your DVD player or games console – and you will have a backup copy of your pictures on DVD, killing two birds with a stone..
You can also frame your best shots. There are digital frames that let you show photos in a similar fashion to a printed photo with a conventional frame.
Once the photos are on the computer, you can alter the pictures using photo editing software and have lots of fun. This kind of software will also allow retouching and correction of mistakes, transforming average shots into quality images.
Of course, downloading your photos is not compulsory. Many people don’t do it, especially when they take shots with their mobile phones. They use the phone as a portable photo album and the pictures get deleted, eventually, and replaced with a new one. Only a few pictures will be shared and displayed on their favourite social site.
Storing the photo is worth it. Taking the picture is not the end of the story, there are many things you can do after the shot.
